This is a multi-phase
renovation project of a major signature building on the campus. Through
a sprawling group of separate buildings that have been added onto
at various earlier dates, it is to become one very large connected
building. The projects goal was to reach state-of-the-art technologies
for administrative offices, classrooms, and a two hundred-person auditorium.
A second goal was upgrading of finishes to contemporary standards,
while maintaining a pre-established tradition of ultra-conservative
styling.

Solutions:
This
200-seat auditorium is part of a renovation of the Northwest wing
of Norton Hall. This space will be technologically equipped for specialized
teaching well into the new millennium. The instructor will have access
to many new teaching tools through the concept of a "teaching
wall". Additionally, the Seminary will be able to provide live
long distance learning by connecting a central audio-visual room to
all the classrooms. Furthermore, information can be retrieved and
displayed through a state-of-the-art AV system and data line connecting
the teaching computer to the Internet and campus library.
