UofL Life Science Building
Program Requirements:

The University required a design that solved the unique space-use problems presented by chemistry, physics, biology, psychology and related life sciences studies.
Design Solution:

The objective of this 65,000-square-foot project was to mark the University’s new quadrangle with a significant academic structure expressive in design and function, which would establish the character for additional campus buildings yet to be designed and built.

The need for laboratories, classrooms, lecture theaters, research facilities and faculty offices is filled by this totally integrated academic edifice.

Technical Details:

Externally, the concrete and brick construction complements older campus buildings, while giving the physical and visual impression of a modern progressive University.
