Masonic Homes Village Apartments

Masonic Homes Village is a prime example of an adaptive reuse of four vacant buildings on the campus of the Masonic Homes of Kentucky. A total of seventy-six units were configured within four buildings to create low-income apartments for senior citizens.

"The amenities that we were able to include in the housing would not have been possible with the cost-saving features of Louis & Henry’s Construction Management program. " -Sally Bowers

Christian Church Homes of Kentucky

Village Manor Retirement Complex is a totally planned retirement community developed on 16 acres by Christian Church Homes of Kentucky in Bowling Green. This single building complex involves 41 apartments, a nursing facility containing 32 beds, and a Commons Area providing dining, laundry and recreation activities. In the future, an Assisted Care Wing containing 14 rooms and 14 cottages will be constructed.

The construction management services included bidding the project in 23 packages at staggered intervals. This process permitted a fast-track sequence of construction, and cost control of each trade or supplier. On-site and in-office supervision and administration were carried out during the entire 14-month construction period.

Sullivan College

The Sullivan College Library project involved the renovation of an existing 4,900 sq. ft. church library and the construction of an 11,800 square foot addition on the Sullivan College Campus. This project included the redesign of the existing site, which includes utilities, parking and landscaping.

Bellewood Children’s Home

The major re-development of this campus in Anchorage, Kentucky involves the construction of a new Administration Building and five new residential treatment Cottages. The six new buildings are carefully sited to create a long formal campus green with the Administration Building on LaGrange Road and the residences clustered around private courtyards toward the rear of the site.

The brick detailing, projecting dormers, and entry porches of each of the new buildings make reference to the historic buildings on Bellewood’s Campus and to its siting within the heart of Anchorage, Kentucky.
