Christian Church Homes of Kentucky
Program Requirements:

Village Manor Retirement Complex is a totally planned retirement community developed on 16 acres by Christian Church Homes of Kentucky in Bowling Green.
Design Solution:

The structure is wood frame with brick, EIFS exterior and shingles. The mix of residential materials gives the character of a large country manor with bay windows, dormers and sensitive brick detailing. Furthermore, the structure is complemented by nurses’ call to all patients’ and residents’ rooms, exterior doors have security monitors, and optional carports. The interiors blend wood trim, wall covering, banded carpet patterns, fireplace, and oak finished cabinets in the residential areas. Two elevators serve the three levels of this apartment building. Each of the apartments has an individual furnace and water heater, while the nursing rooms have through wall units for individual temperature control.
This single building complex involves 41 apartments, a nursing facility containing 32 beds, and a Commons Area providing dining, laundry and recreation activities. An Assisted Care Wing containing 14 rooms and 14 cottages is currently under construction.
