Program
Requirements:

KFC requested a
Corporate World Headquarters designed for maximum lifetime flexibility
that included training space for corporate and franchise personnel
, test kitchens and R&D space. A small museum and art gallery
was included in the program requirements. |

Design
Solutions:

|
The
exterior aesthetic springs largely from the previously constructed
building utilizing the same white painted bricks as the dominant material,
and gracefully curls about the original Signature building as a backdrop.
An underground passageway for utility piping, mail conveyance, and
pedestrian access connects the two buildings. The passageway also
serves as a gallery of original art. An entire Campus Master Plan
was developed, and continues to be implemented with the assistance
of Louis & Henry Group. |
